Objectives of AMZ’s ProfiSACHS Pilot Project
Strategic human resource management is a direct component of AMZ’s network activities.
The objectives are to provide strategic impulses for entrepreneurial human resource management, to generate branch-specific and cross-branch measures for fostering skilled employees, to inspire and encourage those who are interested in education and training as well as to direct attention to this topic and to integrate small and mid-sized automotive suppliers and educational facilities into this network.
The occupational integration of all participants on the labor market as well as their motivation and qualification will become very significant in the future as an indispensable prerequisite for the continuous economic development in the automobile branch. This is to result in customized concepts for general and continued education and training in conjunction with the established educational facilities.

- Competitive Factor Human Resources: Strategic Approach
Public awareness is the most important factor for attracting attention which is why the communication of the specific responsibilities and development potentials available in small and mid-sized enterprises has great potential for creating a positive image of the suppliers and the requisite occupational fields. The Saxony Automotive Supplier Network (AMZ) provides the opportunity of depicting the specific competences within the scope of a network. This opens up new and completely different opportunities for companies to become established on the market and be perceived by their target groups. This is where central, resource-saving measures can be undertaken to create a positive image for automobile-relevant occupational fields, to provide strategic recommendations for action as well as to conduct branch-specific status analyses.
As a result of the systematic integration of all participating companies via the AMZ network initiative, the respective visions of the branch as well as employee-oriented company values of the network partners can be communicated in a determined, timely, and target-oriented manner. It also opens up the perspective of positioning “Autoland Saxony” as an attractive location for skilled and qualified staff throughout all companies.
We will generate specific synergies to spark impulses in all companies so that the interest in occupations of the technical trade will be increased. And, last but not least, we will customize our public relations activities as a marketing instrument in order to recruit skilled employees for small and mid-sized supply enterprises and retain them in the region.
This will clarify the following central questions:
- What requirements will companies have in the future (quantitative and, above all, qualitative)?
- What will be required of future employees?
- Which technological trends will result in what requisite qualifications?
- Which educational institutions already provide the respective skilled professions and programs for continued education and training?
The increasing transfer of larger shares in product development from OEMs to suppliers provides an additional opportunity to further hone the profile of Saxony’s automobile industry which is currently primarily production-oriented. Along with expanding the requisite competences for development, Saxony’s supply industry now has the strategic opportunity of establishing itself as a neutral, problem-solving partner independent of OEMs in the automobile industry.
An essential focus of the ProfiSACHS pilot project is to strengthen the requisite competences for development in the supply industry.
